Your Questions

Hi Katrina and David,

I went to my local health food store to get Chanca Piedra today. The only one that was available was the extract (STONE BREAKER (Chanca Piedra) compound, by HERB PHARM) . Should I be concerned about the small amount of alcohol while Juice Feasting or do you think it would be better if I add a dropper full to warm water to evaporate the alcohol?

~Tuliza

We Say:

You could certainly evaporate the alcohol by using this method. When I worked in the Dispensary at the Tree of Life, this is what we suggested for all of our alcohol based liquid supplements!! You will notice that the alcohol taste of the tincture is even stronger to you now while Juice Feasting than it would be otherwise. I would go ahead and evaporate it using warm water as you mentioned.

Herb Pharm does make a good one, so you will soon be breaking up all your stones!!

Personal Journal:

I made all the juice on my own this morning. I quite enjoyed it! It took me two hours to make 11 quarts (2.75 gallons!) of juice and do all the clean up. You should see our compost pile at this point! It has spread into two rather large piles of baby dirt. We really need to do something about it soon though, we are running out of room!

We go up early again this morning, and then after meditation went back to bed! We didn’t really mean to, we were just laying down for a cuddle, but we both fell into the most beautiful, deep, peaceful sleep EVER! I would get up in the middle of the night to meditate just to get sleep like that! I have felt like I am in a sweet daze all day as a result.

So, the reason I made all the juice this morning is because we got up at the same time as David had to make his first call! Oh well, sleeping in so sweetly was worth it.

I have been trying to remember to add cayenne to my GVJ juices, at least once a day. And today I also had MC with lots of cayenne. I have had spider veins on my legs since I was 19 and do not have a superbly strong vascular system, so I am wanting to up the cayenne a bit to help support all my precious little veins. What I love about my spider veins is that because they are all on my right leg I believe they are there as a trophy for all the many children I have carried around on my right hip for so many years. I have been caring for children since I was five and started changing my baby brother David’s diapers! Children have always been a great love of mine, and if I have spider veins as a result of carting around their extra weight on my hips, I am proud to have them!!

CONGRATULATIONS ON DAY 40!!

It feels like a rather important day, 40 days on juice! Who woulda thunk it?

Day 40 and still pooing! Yes, I didn’t do an enema this morning, and had nice, natural, all by myself big poo!! David has been enema-less for days now, and continues to go poo too!! Amazing!

Many juicy blessings,

Katrina and David

Yea for the big natural poopie!! People worry that no fiber will stop all peristaltic action but that sure hasn't happened here!!

Happy Day 40!

Love to you both!

When I first started the JF, I thought 40 days looked an awful long way away. I just kept taking it a day at a time, and 40 came and went so fast! Now Friday will be day 60 and while I feel like I really want to eat, somehow, it feels like day 92 is too close and I haven't accomplished all that I wanted yet.
Kinda weird, huh?
Congrats on 40 and thanks for all you guys are sharing with us!

How dreamy! It sounds magnificent! You two are truly creating a wonderful life for yourselves. Congrats on day 40. I gave myself a pooping award yesterday and now I am passing it on to you. Don't worry, there isn't any kind of graphic for this one. :o)
